New statewide library system begins in June
eLibrary - your exciting online
library, available 24/7:
On Thursday 6th June, the Adelaide Hills Library Service becomes part of a unified
library system that will eventually include all South Australian libraries. This means
that from your PC, laptop, iPad or phone, you will be able to find what you want,
and reserve it and pick it up at your preferred library a few days later. Much like our
current LINK system, but statewide instead of regional.
At the moment we are mapping data, testing and training in preparation to ensure
a smooth change over to the new library system. There will be reduced services for
the two weeks leading to the official launching day and a short closure period just
beforehand. Library cards need to be less than 5 years old and, if you have older
cards, they can be replaced without charge at any of our branches.
We’re looking forward to providing our library members with access to millions
of library books, graphic novels, magazines, DVDs, CDs and other audiovisual
materials.
