More than 10,000 visitors taste tested everything from
sizzling shish kebabs to South African bunny chow at the annual

CHARITY DINNER RAISES $235,000
Researchers are one step closer to starting trials in Australia
to discover what causes Angelman Syndrome (AS), thanks
to the generosity of the local Canterbury-Bankstown
business community.
More than $235,000 was raised at Council’s annual Charity
Dinner, with all proceeds going to the Foundation for Angelman
Syndrome Therapeutics Australia (FAST).

Council’s school holiday activities offer the perfect opportunity to
get out of routine and try something new.
This Spring, children can learn the fundamentals of self-defence,
cake decorating, make-up, cooking, and wood or metal work
Young people looking to do something community-minded
will have the opportunity to volunteer for Meals on Wheels, or
participate in a youth leadership camp at Point Wolstoncroft
from 28-30 September.
